Memorial service

This past Wednesday, September 21, Saint Philip's marked the first anniversary of the death of longtime parishioner Richard Kuns who died at age 85.

A funeral for Richard will be held at Saint Philip's at 11:00am on Friday, October 7, followed by a reception in the Murphey Gallery. All are welcome.

Richard and Sue, his beloved wife of 65 years, found a home at Saint Philip’s in the late 1990s after they moved from Connecticut to Tucson.

In their years at Saint Philip’s, Richard served the parish in a host of ways: he served as Senior Warden several times; hosted a Bible Study that met every Tuesday for more than fifteen years; volunteered in Sunday liturgies as Lector, Eucharistic Minister, and Subdeacon; was a pastor and Eucharistic Visitor to the homebound; and, mentored aspirants throughout the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona in their discernment to Holy Orders.

Our memories of Richard are blessings, and he is deeply missed.
