Thank you!
The junior youth chose Danny as the focus of their end-of-year service project. Danny has been a part of Saint Philip’s for years. He often plays the piano (self-taught) at First Sunday breakfasts, and parishioners have helped him sign up for benefits and medical help.
During the past few weeks over $600 was raised to support Danny’s needs. Over Memorial Day weekend, four of the RITE13 youth accompanied the co-formation leaders Edina Hall and Ayden Carrell on a shopping trip.
They purchased a variety of items:
*four hats
*seven shirts
*seven pairs of jeans
*a belt
*a backpack
*a thermal water bottle
*a shaving kit and toiletries
Parishioners donated items, too:
*boots
*socks
*shoes
*general clothing
But wait. There’s more!
Danny's bike received a major tune-up and is ready to hit the road with new lights, a new bike pump and new tires!
The youth and their formation leaders topped off the shopping trip with slushies from the QT (Quick Trip).
A very big “THANK YOU!” to everyone who supported the junior youth’s first service project! This effort was a tangible example of God’s love in action.
