A new family

Saint Philip's is helping another refugee family.

Zaker Nasery, his wife Zenat, and their four children fled Afghanistan when the Taliban returned to power. For over two years they waited in Pakistan to receive clearance to come to the United States.

The awaited approval was granted and they are now in the United States. They will arrive in Tucson on Tuesday, October 15.

One of the first ways volunteers will help is to collect items needed to furnish an apartment. While some things have already been donated, there are still lots of other household items needed. Please take a look at the list below and email parishioner, Jane Prescott-Smith, to let her know if you can donate anything. (Connecting with her will help avoid duplicate donations.) Her email address is janeprescottsmith@gmail.com.

Jane is traveling for the next two weeks but will coordinate delivery of donations later in October. And if you’d like to volunteer beyond making a donation to the household, please let Jane know that, too. Thank you!
